	<p>Thanjavur was the capital of Chola kingdom. Thanjavur is a place with rich in water fertility. The water for irrigation is supplied by River Kaveri. So it is famous for Agriculture and the major profession of the people in Thanjavur is Agriculture. It is famously known as the rice bowl of India. There are many places in Thanjavur which is of historic significance. There are many temples. The famous Brahadeeswara temple is in Thanjavur. This temple is spoken for its Sculptures, art works, statues and the paintings here look like the Ajanta cave paintings. There is a palace which is 1 km away from the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The fort is surrounded by a huge walls made of stones. There are also many significant features of this fort like wonderful fresco painted walls, intricate carvings and ceilings underground tunnels etc. Next Is the Art Gallery in Thanjavur, where we find excellent collection of bronze coins. The sculptures present here are priceless. The sculptures and the bronze statues in the Art Gallery portray the achievements of the Chola dynasty. So visiting this Art Gallery is really a feast to all our eyes. </p>
